Because of CarFax, I learned that the 2003 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition I bought recently in Florida was owned and maintained by one owner in the Boston area for 3/4 of it's life until 114,000 miles. That relieved me of a lot of worry. Afterward, I found that the owner had also saved every receipt from every repair, every maintenance, and even every tire change that were almost exclusively done at Lincoln dealerships, and kept the receipts far in the back of the deep glove box where nobody ever saw them. All oil changes were using recommended Lincoln semi-synthetic oil and at 4,000 mile intervals. This thrills me to death. With CarFax to verify the car's life of no wrecks and all registrations plus all the receipts from exactly where CarFax said the car was, I have confidence that the Lincoln has been treated nicely for most of its life, is in original condition with no repainting, was garage kept, and will serve my needs for several years to come because I'm also a service and maintenance maniac.
