I recently pulled a CarFax report on a car I was preparing to buy. The report reflected that the car had been in a minor front end accident. I took the car to my mechanic before the purchase and asked him to focus on possible front end problems. It turns out that the accident had been minor and the repair done well. I ultimately used the CarFax report to negotiate the price and saved 15% on my used car purchase! Thanks CarFax!
