I used carfax to run a report on a car I wanted to buy at an estate auction. The car had no keys with it, so nobody knew the miles on it. I ran the carfax report beforehand and estimated mileage. It was lower than anybody else estimated. I bought $5000 cheaper than book value. Thank you Carfax.
