CARFAX is a necessity, not an option in the process of buying a used car. If you buy from an individual seller or a dealer I feel you MUST do your due diligence buy ordering a CARFAX report. In addition when you see that a dealer offers a CARFAX report WITH THEIR ADVERTISEMENT of the automobile, it give the dealer creditability.
Knowledge is power, especially when you are making a purchase of a car. The small investment of the report can help make your choice and also save you money in the long run.
