We were looking at a car (which we did not end up buying - but for other reasons) that had a branded title due to inaccurate mileage.
By reviewing the Car Fax report, and the various entries, we were able to piece together the tale of the vehicle's mileage and were fairly certain that the error was most likely a type-o at the BMV. It gave us a good confidence level high enough to allow us to make an offer on the car. Absent the Car Fax report we would have walked away.
