My car of choice was a 2000 + Mercedes SL500. My son and I (I'm 80) looked at about twenty different models in addition to the SL500. Three were ruled out because of information on the car fax (one being a totaled car) I eventually ended up with a 2003 SL500 as my son didn't think I should mess with the removal top. I in retrospect think he was right. I love my convertable. The top goes up or down in 16 seconds.
