I cant state the importance of running a carfax on any vehicle purchase. Its a necessity when buying or selling a car. I went to a dealer and they gave me their version of a car report and let me tell you, it did not even come close to a carfax report. Turns out the SUV I was about to buy was indeed a rebuilt engine and with over 143K miles on it. Sure enough this one seller tried to scam me and sell me an engine that supposedly had 49K miles. Sure you have to pay a little bit out of your money for the report but in the end you can save thousands of dollars. I was almost scammed but I was smart enough to purchase a Carfax. Do your own research let Carfax help you make the right choice.
