I used carfax so many times, especially in buying a car from Craigslist. I almost bought a car from a guy who had not had the car very long and had a report from some other website that showed the car as being accident free. I told the gentleman that I would still run the carfax and lo and behold, the car had been in an accident! I showed the seller and he was surprised and I was saved from being the victim of buying a potential lemon!
