I ordered a phone for my daughter who is at Southampton University so I asked for it to be delivered to the Southampton branch. The staff said they could deliver it direct to the University Halls of Residence. I explained that this might be difficult as the parcel would go to a central reception desk and asked that my daughter's name be put on the parcel. They said that your system would not allow that. When DPD attempted to deliver the phone, the person on the University reception checked their data base and my name wasn't on it so could not accept the parcel. So the phone was not delivered.
No one has attempted to contact me or my daughter.
I phoned The branch three times, was put on hold for ten minutes only then to have my phone call ended with a recorded message telling me the store was too busy and to call back later!
I decided to call the central customer services today to be told that my order had been cancelled because you were unable to deliver the phone, after trying only once I don't know when they were planning on telling me this.
I am appalled that I spent an hour in the branch ordering a phone and the best part of an hour on the phone trying to track down the phone I had purchased and they can't spare a few seconds to let me know that they are unable to meet your side of the contract.
