I have only just taken out an upgrade policy with them on a iPhone XS. I went to change the policy with them, where I wanted to just buy the phone from them and then get a sim only contract with my provider. This was less than a week and I don’t even have the phone. Currently they have refused. My phone provider is happy to change my contract but carphone warehouse are refusing to break the contract. This is currently still ongoing. My advice currently is stay well away from carphone warehouse and look around yourself. Especially if you are at the end of a contact. I would not advise anyone to get a phone on contract anymore but to just get a sim only plan and buy your phone. There is no saving at all or investment in a contract plan. As for carphone warehouse I was mis-sold the policy and lied to when I took it out. If I was told at the time that I would not be able to go back on it I would never have taken it out. Instead of being told I could change my mind in the next 14 days if I wasn’t happy. They cannot be trusted and do not save you money. You just think they are and I was stupid enough to believe it.
