What can I say? Cheshire Cheese Company leave me utterly gobsmacked by just how good their cheese (and other produce) is. I can honestly say I've not been disappointed with a single one of their cheeses, all entirely unique, all utterly delicious. Both my wife and I do love our food and travel (oh for those days!), but without being able to do quite so much this year, we thought to treat ourselves to one of our true pleasures: cheese! I'd started picking out a selection of our favourites, but this time decided to go all out and ordered their "Alice's Wonderland 'Drink Me' Big Gourmet Hamper". And what a hamper it turned out to be: meticulously packaged, chock full of so many cheesy and other delights... so much so that it was a week later we discovered the truffle oil nestled amongst the packing paper. Even the three wooden mice were a welcome cheeky addition and sit proudly in our kitchen as a ward against their pesky living relatives. In all, it's hard to recommend anything in particular from the selection, it really was a delight and an other-worldly culinary experience: fantastic cheeses, wonderful chutneys, divine bites and olives, not to mention the gin and that truffle oil (astonishingly good, you'll find yourself adding it to everything!).
