This table is simply stunning. The wood is beautiful and the superior craftsmanship is very evident. This was a replacement for a table that was destroyed during a move. Pennsylvania House made my previous table and they are no longer in business. Trying to find a close match I turned to Chilton. Not only was this table less expensive than what I paid in 2000 but is of better quality. The 2 leaves make this table large enough to seat 10 comfortably (wish Chilton made a folding parson chair, hint, hint). The legs are solid, you get the benefits of a pedestal with the visual appeal of 4 legs. The tabletop is smooth, beautiful and substantial. Gorgeous! I bought 6 other pieces (corner cabinet, 2 night stands, 2 step stools and a phone table) this go around. I have a list ready for the next sale. I dreaded moving but am having so much decorating my "new" home (built in 1930). I'll write reviews for each piece I purchased but they are all 5, very well deserved, stars!
