Unlike many CW owners who have several CW watches I only have one...a C20 Lido that has served as my everyday watch for the past four years. It is a watch that keeps exceptional time and is manufactured to a standard that is not surpassed by any of the 'big names' at twice the price. For the past thirty years or so I have been a bit of a watch nut and took delight in not collecting makers such as Om, Ta or Ro. However, having retired to rural France and needing to prioritise my pensions most of my 'collection' has had to go as a new lawnmower or treating death watch beetle is far more important than keeping a watch that only gets worn occassionaly! Recently I severely damaged the steel bracelet on my Lido and decided to replace it with an alligator strap, the service I received from CW was exceptional. Not only was the strap delivered in record time to France but having managed to lose a securing screw a full set was sent to me without cost within two days! The Head of their Customer Services team Wera Mettes was a star and it seemed to personify Christopher Ward watches... outstanding service levels, exceptional build quality and incredible value for money. If ever the bank balance (or she who balances the books) permits, a C9 Big Day Date will be purchased without considering any alternative!
