Avoid this company. My friend left his phone in the cab as the taxi driver demanded while he came into the chemist with me. Then asked if we needed a cash point, when I asked why as I had already paid on my card the driver starts strutting and fumbles with his phone and says “oh yes yes you have already paid” my friend and I get out of the taxi and get inside and he remembers he has left his phone in the cab and phones the cab office straight away, he records the call due to other issues with the rude and obnoxious staff we both have had the miss fortune of dealing with and he is told that the driver will call my phone when he is outside and drop his phone off. This was 3 days ago. Given that it has been snowing we have both called the office and asked if the driver has dropped the phone in the office. Now to be told that they have no record of our booking….that’s weird because I have a text message to link to pay, which also has the cab registration number on it and 2 telephone calls 1. For the original booking 2. For the call to say the taxi has arrived and my bank statement for the amount of cab fair, yet city taxi has no record of this? So we have contacted the police as even they said that this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Avoid this taxi company and either get the bus, use another company or walk!
