As of right now, my surgery results are great. I got a breast reduction through Clinic Center Istanbul. My surgeon was able to get me to the exact size I wanted, which I was really happy about. My overall trip was ok, but I did have some problems. Communicating was pretty difficult. My coordinator did not answer me for days or hours even if it was really important sometimes. I also was not told a lot of things clearly enough. The hotel I stayed at has no actual connection to the clinic, it is just one they send a lot of people to. It was nice, but it would have been nice to know that before. My “host” that I was told about was basically just a translator that I only saw for a maximum of 5 hours during my whole stay. I had to rely on texting people if I had questions for the most part. The hospital that I had my surgery at was not at the actual clinic center, it was a partner hospital. I was never told about this being a thing at all so I couldn’t research the hospital or my surgeon. The hospital stay was nice, but my surgeon was quite rude to me several times. This next point is no ones fault, but as someone from the US it was really hard for me to talk to people here. Most people either know barely any English or none at all. Lastly, the hotel and hospital’s wifi that I stayed at was really bad so it was hard to stay in touch with my family so they knew I was ok. But, on the brighter side, I would say this trip was a success. This clinic was aggravating at some points and my trip was stressful because of it, but I am happy with my results so far. The hotel I stayed at was great quality, the only downside to it was the lack of English speaking people like I mentioned earlier. My host was helpful the little time I was with him, and I got all my medications I needed and aftercare instructions easily. It is completely safe and legit, which I was worried about since I found it online. The only actual problem I had was talking with people in Istanbul as a English-speaking solo female traveler from America. I suggest making sure you have some kind of translation app because you will need it a lot, have a good data plan so you can actually use your phone, and make sure you bring plenty of cash (especially if you are getting your operation done during the pandemic). if you don’t mind sometimes having trouble communicating with the people there I would recommend this clinic because my results were really good.
