The cover I purchased with my IKEA Nockeby sectional 3+ years ago turned out to be no match for my 1 year old husky/german shepherd mix who seemed to instantly shed her entire coat the second she jumped up on any given cushion. Amazingly, the cover seemed to accept her hair as if it was meant to be there all along, allowing it to weave deeply into the existing framework of the cover, much to my chagrin. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could lift the hair out of that cover. My poor couch! I love this couch and it is in great condition otherwise - I was heartbroken to think of getting rid of it. However, I was not a fan of being fully enveloped by a blanket of hair every time I wanted to lay down, so I got pretty desperate pretty quickly to remedy the situation. I had resolved myself to the fact that I was going to need to shell out $2500+ for a new dog friendly couch when I stumbled across Comfort Works and their vegan leather covers for my exact couch (which has been discontinued through IKEA since right after I bought it)!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the VERY reasonable price of a custom cover that even allowed for a choice of piping details on the trim of each cushion. I was pretty sure that it was going to be too good to be true but didn't have the time to waste. So, with my dwindling sanity, rather than ordering a sample first, I dove head first into ordering the vegan leather cover - waited a few weeks for it to come back in stock and ship out to me. WOAH. I cannot explain to you just how perfect this couch cover is. I am fully in shock every single day that it is as nice as it is for the price I paid. Not only did I save myself 70% of what I would've had to pay for a new leather couch but I was also able to keep the couch that I love so much which is not only better for my budget and my space but also way better for the environment. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a Comfort Works cover. You wont regret it!
