Machine is noisy , plates warp easily, and the plastic shim is warped almost after first use. I do not recommend this machine as the cuts aren't very good and the replacement plates aren't cheap. On the whole I wouldn't buy anything more crafters companion items as I find them poor value,flimsy,expensive and constantly needing new plates and noisey. Ife found the replacement plates are hard to find aswell if you need new ones. I've bought another brand and have been nothing but hàppy with different branded item clean cuts nice quiet machine no problems
