Whom It May Concern
I took advantage of what I thought was a fantastic offer from Cruise Fashion last week. It is my Wife’s Birthday this week – She is 30 so it’s an important day. We should all have been going out with the extended family however due to the current lockdown this wasn’t possible.
So on Thursday 9th April I ordered £800 worth of items from Cruise on next day delivery. Thinking that nothing could possibly go wrong as the perception of a store with this name couldn’t let anyone down.
How wrong was I – When DPD put the parcel on my doorstep on Friday around 17:00 I did look at it and think it was a bit slimmer than I thought however my Wife was there and I didn’t want to open it at the time. About an hour later I opened the parcel and discovered there was a pair of Christian Louboutin Shoes missing at a value of £452 (£565 with 20% off).
Of course it was too late in the day to contact anyone from Cruise, closed at weekends and Easter Monday. That said, as worried as I was I left a direct message on Instagram, a tweet on Twitter, emails to their Customer Services Team and messages through their online chat. Over the weekend not only was I worried about the cost of the shoes not arriving but also not having them in time for my Wife’s birthday. Curiosity sets in and I began googling reviews on Cruise and to my horror the amount of 1 star reviews were unbelievable, items missing from parcels, items not turning up, refunds not given, Customer Services not returning calls or emails. Not what I would have expected from a high end Fashion Store.
I also thought ok lets see if a shoe box could fit in the parcel, so a Christian Louboutin shoe box, same size would not fit in the parcel so was never there in the first place. The parcel also stated the weight was 3.7kg and I’m unsure if this was with the shoes or without them.
On Tuesday morning this week their chat opened at 10:00 and of course I expected a quick response, given their chat stated a response in under five minutes I received nothing until I started sending additional messages saying I would involve the media in my complaint. As expected when I did get a response, Simone from Cruise stated they would have to investigate and would get back to me within 24 hours. This morning I have had no response and that is despite their chat stating replying in under 2 minutes.
I really only want what I paid for, all other items in the parcel are great and I am happy with these am happy to discuss this further. I would really appreciate your help in trying to resolve this with Cruise.
In addition I totally forgot you sent the wrong colour of leggings to me. I paid for grey, you sent Navy but the tag says grey ?
