Cuvva is a fantastic app and it fills a huge gap in the insurance market for short term, flexible insurance. You only have to enter your personal details once so it's quick and easy to insure a car the next time around. Being able to insure almost any car on your phone without having to ring up insurance companies and go the rigmarole of all the questions is really quite groundbreaking. Customer service is great too, I even received a nice T shirt and handwritten letter for being one of Cuvva's top 100 customers which was a really nice touch. The one reason I voted the app 4/5 instead of 5/5 is down to the pricing structure. The price is exceptional value when you consider the service that is being provided, however on a couple of occasions I've purchased a 1 hour policy to drive to a location and then purchased another 1 hour policy later in the day to drive back only to find the price for 1 hour has doubled in price the second time around. I fully understand that Cuvva would rather you purchase a 4 hour policy from the outset, which is still excellent value but quite often I won't need to be insured for 4 hours, rather two hours split throughout the day. Cuvva pride themselves on providing flexible insurance but hiking the price might force some customers into buying a longer, more expensive policy the next time around, that they may not need. Whilst this is a negative point, it's a relatively small one and the price hike does reset back to the cheaper rate the next time around. All in all a brilliant app that provides an innovative product with first class customer service at a good price.
