I purchased a Galaxy S6 phone in July 2016. In November, the screen was working one minute and went black the next minute. I thought initially it had just shut down. But after 24 hours and trying to charge it, I gave up and realised it must be an internal issue. Debenham's have been no help what so ever. They have blamed it on impact damage even though phone has not been dropped and no external damage. Debenhams have not even seen the phone but are relying on a report from Samsung. They will not supply me with the report and I seriously doubt that the phone has been looked at. I have quoted them the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to which they told me that "after reviewing this case in detail" they are unable to assist. I have now asked them to confirm their ADR details so I can pursue this complaint further. Now they are "still looking into this" for me. Fingers crossed the ADR will resolve a simple issue which Debenhams are refusing to acknowledge. Anyone looking to complain should consider using ADR. You have to complain to the store first. If they do not remedy the situation - then you can refer to ADR. It is FREE for consumers.
