I ordered a chrome book from Debenhams Plus. It arrived promptly but was not the product described on the website and was not the product described in the delivery notification email. It was an inferior product. After great difficulty, time and expense, I finally reached Customer Services. Their response was that this isn't their problem if the product doesn't match the website description as the manufacturer must have given them the wrong information. They are very busy people and do I understand how many products they sell?
My understanding is that the seller actually is responsible for providing what they have agreed to sell and for ensuring that their advertising is accurate. I certainly don't rate this company - who seem to be sullying rather representing Debenhams name. And I certainly don't recommend their customer services training provider, who seems to have trained their representatives to take a rather defensive/aggressive approach. They did offer me a small discount in the end.
