I have ordered multiple upper build kits from DTT. Many of the components are generic and frankly, cheap. However, the guards, barrels, and brakes look very good and they are solid! I’ve bought and built a 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 Grendel, and 5.56s from DTT, all on different brands of lowers. NOT ONE build from DTT will cycle correctly. Not one! They all fire one round but either do not fully eject or will not cycle another round. I have addressed just about every issue I can think of, including suggestions from my armorer buddies. I’ve even replaced some of the basic DTT components like buffers, and gas blocks (yes, purchased the more expensive adjustables) just to name a couple, spending quite a bit more money. I’ve used all different ammo and mags. No fix. I have other builds of different brands that function appropriately, and have, beginning with the first round sent down range. The only issues I have ever had with builds have been with the DTT products. I honestly wanted to love each one of the DTT builds but my experience has been soured. I am frustrated to say the least.
