I have had a set of two 1200 Lightrangers for a few years now and have not had 1 issue. I use these for camping. I keep them really dim for late night and use the amber filter mostly. I will remove the filter and set them on bright when setting up camp if it's dark. But I try not to let the light flood other campsites. Whidh is easy considering how adjustable the 1200 is.These 1200s have been through all kinds of bad weather. Hard rain with high winds snow, sleet ect. And have always came through working fine. I don't use the tripod much, I mounted some deck umbrella clamps on the side of my trailer that holds them very secure. Recently I purchased a 800 mini to set up on a table or counter. Have not had much of a chance to use it yet, but I did set it up last night to verify that it worked with the motion sensor, and as expected, it worked flawlessly. Although the motion sensor does not clamp well to the pole of the 800 very well, but I can come up with something to make it more secure. The 800 seems like it is built as well as the 1200. Although I wish the USB-C was on the bottom like the 1200 and not on the side. Not sure how it would fair in a thunderstorm. I love the compactness of the 800 mini and am planing on keeping it in the truck throughout the camp season. I will say I have had nothing but great CS from Devos and have had zero issues with any product I have received from them. I'm trying to justify buying the 4000 for work, I guess we'll see.
