I ordered an umbrella on DHGate 08/01/2019. After many back and forth communications and trying to get information on the delivery (it was a birthday gift) and paying for expedited shipping, my item did not arrive. I did not even receive a shipping number until 08/07/2019 after I had complained. The shipping number never left China. I opened a dispute and the seller refused to refund my money until I changed the reason for the refund request (they did not have the item and told me that they could not get it but they wanted me to say to say that "Items not now required ’ or "concerned about customs seizure" rather than saying they did not have the item) And they continue to list the item on the website even though they do not have it. Contacted DHGate Customer service and a refund was supposedly granted on 08/15/2019. Got a second message on 08/20/2019 saying that the refund transaction had been completed (even though the previous message said that would happen within 2 days). It is now 09/09/2019 and I still have not received a refund to date. Messaged them again today. So.... we continue to wait. Be ware of ordering from this site for any substantial amount of money. Consequently, it is worth noting that a t-shirt I ordered for my daughter arrived without issue and was the perfect item. Buyer be ware.
