I purchased the gravity-fed drinking water and shower head filters as I have been increadingly concerned with the quality of water flowing out of our tap. I am also not convinced that systems incapsulated in plastic bodies [rovide ideal solution with plastics leaching into filtered water. Hence I was happy to discover stanless steel/ceramic filters with very limited plastic parts. The systems seems to work well. The smell which clearly is present in the upper chamber disappears in the lower chamber (past filters). My wife and 4yo daughter both say the water tastes better and my daughter indeed has taken to drinking more in the past few days - one happy dad here. I also contacted cuctomer services and am pleased that they responded in a prompt, professional and polite manner. Three areas for improvement perhaps: 1. replacing a plastic tap with stainless steel as standard would be welcome, 2. adding a way to check the water levels in both chambers without lifting them would be of benefit. 3. figuring out the way for water not to stay stagnant in the last one inch at the bottom of the upper chamber (it doesn't filter through). Time will show how the filters work long-term, but so far I am pleased with my purchases.
