Very unhappy about the lack of customer service after misselling a car rental to me. I have used them for years and expected better. Beware of this company.
I missed a flight so did an emergency booking on this platform while standing in front of the rental companies office. The voucher was emailed through and tried to collect my car only to be informed at the Goldcar desk that they require a UK driver to also have an international licence to use them even though it's not law and many other companies do not. They told me to contact DOYOUSPAIN for a refund. I went to another company and got a car. When I then contacted DOYOUSPAIN I was refused a refund and it was a NON TRANSFERABLE BOOKING and the voucher clearly states that Goldcar requires an international licence. The problem is the confirmation voucher is the first time it's mentioned in the whole process and it's then too late to change. There is no mention of this anywhere on the DOYOUSPAIN website so they are happily misselling Goldcar car rentals to UK nationals.
Spent over an hour on automated hold on their customer service telephone line without an answer and they do not reply to emails.
I was a walking advert for this company until now but this robbery and I've started chargeback proceedings with my Credit Card Company
Avoid.
