What a joke of a company.
Their payment gateway crashed on my initial transaction and as no money had been taken from my account, I went ahead and made a second transaction. I was only made aware that the booking had been duplicated when I arrived at the airport and I had two bookings. The rental company assured me that I would not be charged for the duplicate booking... but of course I was.
Therefore, I go ahead and try to resolve the issue by contacting them... good luck with that one. After some initial failed attempts in contacting Claire Davis, I found a phone number, only to be told by Hannah that a refund is not possible and the website could not have crashed (I'm head of Digital, so I know a fair bit about payment gateways). She also stated that I was too late to try and make a refund. Ok, I asked what is the policy on time I have to claim a refund? You have to make the claim before the booking date!!!! She then went and hung up on me. What an absolute farce.
Make sure you refund me in full for my initial transaction, the car was never taken out, so it's pretty obvious that the claim is valid!
Or I will take you to court, up to you.
