Recently I was contacted by DressLily to ask me to review my recent shopping experience on certain websites. This is a pretty standard thing for companies to do, IME, but DressLily not only offered me a $10 credit for my review, they also tried to find out what I was going to say before they would give me the links to the review sites. The overall impression given is that they are trying to bribe customers to leave good reviews, while attempting to head off bad reviews before they are posted. This is incredibly shady, and leads me to believe that any positive reviews of DressLily cannot be trusted!
My actual experience buying from DressLily was not good. On the date that my package was supposed to arrive, they hadn't even shipped it yet. Customer service tried to blame FedEx, but somehow my package arrived at FedEx the day AFTER I complained. When my product arrived, despite being described as a "sweater," it was actually a cheap, thin cotton top that was only textured to give the appearance of a sweater. I didn't bother to return it since I'd already had a bad experience with their customer service, and I would have simply never done business with DressLily again until they decided to try to buy a good review from me.
