We bought an Meta Quest 3 from them in March. It came with a warrantee. Recently the speaker arm broke (while putting the headset on - so not doing anything sinister or unusual. We got in touch with Droneworld who told us to courier the unit to Cape Town - at our own expense (even though we got the unit from their Johannesburg office). Charmaine rep**** on receipt: "I just wanted to bring to your attention that the unit is dirty, and I'm not sure if the supplier will assist in this case." What? How is the unit being dirty at all relevant to the fact that the arm broke? BTW, I am not sure what condition she thought the unit should be in after 6 months use. Anyway, she subsequently told us the supplier would not honor the warranty and to approach Meta directly. So disappointing when companies do not honor their warranties - especially on a R15 000, six month old item which I can assure them was used appropriately. There are numerous reviews online of the same thing happening - so it is not just our unit. Rather pay more for another company who will give you the after sales service you have paid for, and which has been promised on purchase!
