Terrible experience at Southend airport, husbands hand luggage was less than a centimetre too long due to part of a wheel not fitting in the luggage checker, because was a small hard shell case it failed this test, if was a soft case would have passed obviously, my husband is elderly, in his seventies, with health probs, this upset him a lot and eventually we balked at paying more so ditched the case and put his clothes in a plastic bag. He was shaking when we boarded the plane. Thank goodness the staff at Southend airport were kind and sympathetic, finding us the plastic bag, they were also annoyed by such a lack of understanding for an older person.
We measured the bag before taking it and had taken it on easyJet flights before.
Will definitely not travel with them again.
Shame on easyJet. Would they like their elderly parents or grandparents treated like this?
