I cannot believe the treatment we recieved from EasyJet on return from our flight from Antayla EZY8840 we arrived at airport checked into departure lounge . Flight was meant to be departing at 22.45 . We had a delay which was the 1.15 . Departure gate was opened to board the plane and as we stood in queue it was cancelled . I then questioned the staff on the gate as to when the next flight would be he replied 16.25 the next day . I was travelling with family there was 5 in our party one of them was 13 . I also questioned the staff about what would happen next he said information would arrive in two hours . The staff then abandoned us we waited until 6am wasn’t offered drinks or any answers by this time all the passengers and my family where very tired and stressed . Not an easyJet rep in sight none available we were told at that airport at any time !! Whilst this was going on our plane had landed at 12.30 and had moved away from departure lounge on tarmac within our vision ! At 6am the following morning there was 24 hotel rooms found for family’s with children we didn’t get one they were all taken there was people who were elderly on our flight . From that moment it was horrendous we had no answers everyone we spoke to passed the buck easyjet cut people off not responding to emails just said check flight tracker. No hotel stay was offered to us or the remaining passengers. We were offered a Burger King which I didn’t have as I’m vegetarian unfortunately the airport doesn’t accommodate this so I went without a hot meal from 8pm on the Wednesday evening until 5pm the following evening ! Our delay was 18 3/4 hours . The treatment we had was horrendous I had to cancel work the next day had no sleep no answers from easyJet no apology apart from pilot and crew who pretended they didn’t know we were not put into a hotel but served us a complementary drink and snack . Bet they had a nice nights sleep and shower before they flew out . Angry doesn’t even cover how I feel our family had taken this holiday after a stressful year of losing my mum . This will be the last time I will be using easyJet . I feel more stressed now than before I went on holiday . If we were put into a hotel and kept informed my feelings towards easyJet may of been different but it’s obvious they don’t care about there passengers and lack customer service !
So in relation to your easy jet ‘our promise’ not once did it feel like we where treated safely and that you acted to the events responsibly, you were not on your customers side-the complete opposite in fact , your statement ‘that we were in it together’ is some sort of joke and to claim you are always efficient and forward thinking clearly is a lie.
