Just had a tearful call from my dad. They signed him up to a 'rewards club', he neither needs nor wants.
This isn't even a case of accidentally ticking a wrong box-the item he actually wanted to buy was ordered and paid for over the phone. The person who took that order must have signed him up.
He rang them and they said they would cancel. Now they've taken £18.50 from his bank. I'm going to try to sort this out for him, but will probably come up against the 'we can't talk about this with you because of data protection rules'. I'm not going to give up though. Judging by how many reviews here are here that say the same, this isn't a mistake, this is a strategy. No one hurts my 82 Yr old dad and gets away with it! Look out you scheming ****s. You messed with the wrong 82yr old`s family.
