Under no circumstances whatsoever have anything to do with this company. On the first order from their catalogue you can place an order with them and get what you asked for, no problem. However, this is when the problems begin. When they have your debit / credit card details, phone number and address, you are then likely to be subscribed to motoring clubs, book clubs, reward clubs and more which you do not want. You will find that money has been taken from your account without your knowledge or permission. You are likely to find you have a membership to a motoring club, which, for me and my mother, is redundant as we both cannot drive. Also you may be bombarded with phone calls asking you to subscribe to gardening clubs et al, basically SPAM! In my experience the first you will know about it is when books arrive on your doorstep on day 12 of the 14 day trial period leaving you no time to return the books within the cancellation period, also with the money for the books having already been debited from ones' account. You can try to cancel the order by ringing their customer care line but it takes hours ( literally ) to get through and then it is a case of being fobbed off, supervisor not available etc etc. If you have ordered from this company cancel the debit / credit card you gave them now. There is no easy way to contact them to cancel contracts they have signed you up to without your permission or knowledge. Contact your bank and ensure that they have a block on any payments to EasyLife and their other names like Perks. Also put a block on their phone numbers. If they continue to contact you then use the Protection From Harassment Act 1997 to stop them. Basically have nothing WHATSOEVER to do with this company. If they continue to hassle you for money for things you have not ordered then refer them to the local police force FRAUD SQUAD. Also the telephone preferential service & mailing preferential service.
