The website experience was good. I use a touch screen enabled laptop, and because touch is so much faster than the trackpad (or even the mouse I have attached), I use the screen like one might use a tablet. Unfortunately a few of the site controls were not entirely touch screen friendly (a bit too small). Also whilst the greys used to outline boxes and the like are very calming, they are a little too close to the white end of the spectrum, making it difficult to see them. A better contrast (a darker grey) would be very helpful. Creating an account, entering address and payment details was very straightforward and efficient. The only thing that came up was that the system incorrectly identified the address from the postcode (stating the address as Nottingham, whilst it is actually Derby). This is of course a problem with the post code matrix eBuyer is using, rather than the website itself. Most importantly, the site allowed me to correct the details of the address (town, county etc). Whilst the delivery would have got here with the incorrect details, it is preferable that the details are correct (especially as it prevents issues with debit card security checks), so I was very appreciative that the site allowed me to manually update my details. All in all, I had a good experience, and I expect that I will continue to purchase from eBuyer in the future.
