We stayed at this Portobello apartment over the 2013 May bank holiday weekend. We had chosen this flat because of the availability of a free on site parking space and also because it was on the ground floor. My elderly father in law was travelling with us and the flat fit the bill perfectly. The bus stop to go into Edinburgh City Centre is literally half a minute away. It takes about 20 minutes to get into the city. The flat itself is lovely! It is very spacious and will easily be able to accomodate 6 people with the sofabed in the living room. It is very well equipped. It has everything that you would need in a self catering apartment. The living room is stocked with wonderful music CD's, movie DVD's, numerous books and games. In Edinburgh's ever changing weather this can be a blessing! The ensuite is great especially if you have many people staying. My only suggestion would be to get the bath in the main bathroom fitted with an overhead shower. This would help people to have a quick shower instead of waiting for the ensuite to be free for use. If I travel to Edinburgh again I would definitely stay here again!
