Purchased 12/2 landscape wire to replace some older lengths. I noticed that the wire was a little stiffer than what you would purchase at Home Depot and Lowes. However, that isn't a bad thing depending on your application. I did a direct burial about 4-6 inches into the soil. So having something a little stiffer will keep it from getting damaged by tools. Otherwise, the jacket thickness seems appropriate for burial and landscape use, and the copper strands are fine and dense. I've had it installed for over 6 months, with trimmer and commercial mowers running a top and so far no issues.
