Very good and sorted out an issue which was nothing to do with them but entirely Stephill's fault. Stephill sent me a generator with dodgy welding and badly mounted power points which were not level. It had a scratched tank too and they were far from willing to help. Lee Pears at Stephill had even gone as far to say that the machine would get more scratches in the future so I shouldn't worry about it. Hardly the response I'd wanted to hear after paying £1500 for the machine. Anyway after leaving a not so favourable review here which was aimed at Stephill, I got a response from Energy Generators Ltd. They took control of my complaint and went above Lee Pears. I received a £250 refund to cover the damages and poor construction of the item. Would I buy another generator from Energy Generators, well the answer is YES. Would I buy another from Stephill, Yes. I see the faults as trivial but still enough that I should have not paid full price. The engine is a Honda and I have heard the Stephill brand is reliable. Time will tell though, and we shall have to see. How would I rate Energy Generators themselves. I would give them 10/10 and Scott personally I would also give 10/10. Great bunch of people. Step hill I would give 5/10 for trying to sort things out nicely. 5/10 for their behaviour. 5/10 for the finishing of the unit. 10/10 for the main build of the unit so that is the engine to alternator. I am intending to buy another Stephill generator but will suffer the wait of 6 months because of the aforementioned. I want to see how reliable this generator is through the cold winter months ahead. IF positive and no issues with starting, Scot will get a second order from us in February 2018.
