Wow. Energy Sage saved me from making an uninformed decision about "going solar." My research into this complex new world was tainted by biased information. I couldn't seem to escape sales pitches at every turn. Wherever I went for answers, someone was trying to sell me on their piece of the action. Then I discovered Energy Sage - a solar roofing information clearinghouse with no "dog in the hunt." They got their start with funding from the US Department of Energy with one mission: to help spread the word to consumers about the benefits of solar roofing. I was assigned an Energy Sage representative, Maria Kiley, who had several conversations with me about my particular set of circumstances. Maria helped me to understand the difference between leasing and owning, whether or not to include a battery for storage, how to recoup the federal tax credit, etc. Afterward, I received the link to a dashboard, which provided me with side-by-side estimates from half a dozen companies with significant experience installing solar roofing in my region of the U.S. Maria and I had a follow-up conversation in which she answered all of my questions about the estimates. If I hadn't found Energy Sage, I likely would have chosen the company that does the most advertising in my area. And that would not have been the best choice, as it turns out. Not by a long shot. I'm a big fan of Energy Sage. I'd give them six stars, if I could!
