I am electrical contractor. I received a call from ERG facilities to go out to an elderly gentlemen who had an electrical fault with his RCD. It was only 2 minutes from my house so I attended to find that a self had fallen on the consumer unit and knocked the RCD down. All it needed was to be reset. I was in the property for 10 mins maximum. They charged the elderly gentlemen £170 for something I charged them £50 (I did not know this before I attended). 3 months later and I still haven’t received any payment. Absolutely shocking company. Do not use. My advice would be to use local recommended tradesmen.
