Couple of weeks ago the centre stone of my engagement ring fell out. This of course was very upsetting and after further inspection the stone was also discoloured at the bottom directly where it rests on the setting. This can’t be seen with the stone intact. The clasps also gave away that the ring way have been faulty from the get go as one of them is very different to the other three. The ring isn’t even a year old. Naturally I wanted this replaced with a new one as fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue. I went to the Bristol store in Cabot circus in hopes that this could be done. The lady at the store was patronising and very unhelpful. She explained that the ring will be sent off which takes about six weeks and we won’t know if we have to pay until later despite the warranty very much being intact. She told me they won’t do anything about the discoloured parts as it all depends on how the stones are made ( not relevant ) and that there was nothing that could be done about that. Unfortunately I do not know her name. I left the store with my ring as I did not want to send it anywhere and I was in no way assured of anything. My mother in law suggested trying a different store after a few emails suggested the assistants at the store would be able to help us. I was very nervous and anxious about doing so because of the response I received in the other shop. We went to the mall at cribs causeway and were greeted by Heather. She looked at the ring carefully and I started trying to explain how I felt fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue, she just looked at me and said “ oh no, we will give you a new ring” she didn’t even question me. She looked at our email exchanges and ordered me a new ring to replace my old old there and then. She even ordered me a smaller size as the original lo longer fit as well. She was honestly just so nice and helpful and she made my whole day by assuring me that I would have my ring again soon. I would give the company and the lady at Bristol a solid 0 for having treated a customer in such a way. Heather alone here deserves the five star rating because had it not been for her, I would have never stepped a foot into that store again.
