Best vacuum tool I've found for vacuuming up pet hair - it's the Universal Vacuum Cleaner Screw Fit Dustmaster Lint Tool – 30mm to 37mm. Brilliant. You just have to remember that when you pull back, that's what collects the fur, so just vacuum the floor fairly firmly, backwards and forwards, and you'll see all the fur being collected. Fur-free carpets and upholstery! It's a good workout, too! Make sure you measure your own vacuum hosing to make sure it will fit before you buy it.
