Adventure. Beauty. Friendship. Challenge. Soul-filling journey. This is the second time I have been with Experience The Himalayas. I met my roomy, Andy, on the Everest Base Camp trek 2 years ago. We both came back together to do the Annapurna Circuit. That says all you need to know. Our guide, Tanka, was also our guide on EBC, and I have to say on all the treks around the globe that I have done over the years, he is the real deal, a cut above. He did make us all drink a lot of rum though. If you've never done a trek like this before, then everything on this one will open your eyes. Through the challenges of circumstances, cold, altitude: you find out stuff about yourself....the rewards are poetry and achievement The people you do all this with plays a very significant role - there isn't a better set of people to do it with, and I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else. I will definitely be back with these guys. As a foot note: thank you Kamal and Santos - you were simply the best porters ever :-)
