This was our first time to Nepal and our first time on a trek. Experience the Himalayas were excellent from start to finish. Given issues at Katmandu airport our flights had to change at the last minute and David and Bijay were very helpful and accommodating to our last minute changes. On arrival we were met at the airport and taken to the hotel where we were made to feel very welcome. The whole itinerary was explained to us and it made us very relaxed about the trip and week ahead. We did the Poon Hill trek and it was just the two of us with our guide and porter. Our guide, Raj, was brilliant. He made our trip the fantastic experience that it was. Every evening he would explain exactly what the plan was for the next day. He was attentive and helpful from start to finish. Given this was our first time in the Himalayas, we had lots of questions throughout the trek and he was able to answer all of them thoroughly. Raj and our porter, Chhabi, made us laugh none stop throughout the whole trip. They were always asking us if were were enjoying it and if there was anything else we want.We were incredibly lucky to have both of them as it was a perfect match for us. The trek itself was great and we would highly reccommend it. The views from Poon Hill were stunning and the walking itself was great fun. All of the accommodation that we stayed in was very pleasant. After such a great experience we would both love to go on another trip like this and would have no reservations at all about doing this via Experience the Himalayas again. If you are looking to go to the Himalayas then use this company, they were great.
