It wasn't obvious to me that First Tutors is in effect an introduction agency, and that you pay them for the introduction. Thereafter it's up to you to communicate directly with the tutor and First Tutors are no longer involved. The whole process didn't seem that clear to me, but in effect the Tutor allows their details to be released via First Tutors once you have set up your first lesson. We wanted to talk to the Tutors beforehand over the phone, but that's not possible until you've agreed to take them on, as it's only then that you can get their phone number.
