I had my first lesson with Amira Elzikrd this week. I was very nervous about it as i already have some knowledge of reading arabic but not at conversational level. Amira was very patient and put me at ease. She was very clear in asking what my expectations were for learning and how i learn best and tailoring her expectations to me. I loved her approach as often the teacher - student relationship can be very strict and regimented but she made it very interactive. Amira introduced me to the learning workbooks and literature and we used these in the first lesson. I found them very simple and easy to use. I will be continuing my lessons with her and am feeling very confident ill be speaking Arabic in no time.
