Buyer beware—Footman James’s refund policy is not transparent or fair. I recently cancelled my policy midterm with Footman James, only to discover they refused any form of refund, referencing their general terms and conditions. I believe that their policy of not providing any refund during the first year (ive held seveal policies with them) is not only unfair but a breach of the Consumer Rights Act, as it should be an express term rather than hidden in the fine print. As a returning customer over many years, I expected a reasonable outcome, but they held firm on this policy, refusing to offer a refund I believe was substantial and due.
