There are zillions of video downloaders everywhere, but Freegrabapp does it well. The interface is refreshingly simple, even though I personally would prefer it even simpler if possible, but I am a minimalist. You just paste the URL and click download, and away it goes! I found the download speeds to be suspiciously slow for youtube, but I have no idea why this is. They offer separate downloaders for various services, but this seems unnecessary since you could grab the main application that supports everything. And this actually includes downloading from Netflix, Spotify and Amazon amongst others! That is actually quite rare, and if you are an archiver or will travel long distances without good internet, it's a blessing to be able to download some movies or even whole series seasons in advance to watch offline. Same goes for music streaming and social media like twitter. And hey - they're all free separately! But if you opt in to buy the main application you will get a full years license for the cost, including conversion of all files. But the pricing is my only complaint as it is a bit steep for what it offers, and thus I give it 4 stars instead of 5. On the other hand, they offer the various separate downloaders completely for free.
