I was looking into ways to collect my Amazon Music in a more convenient way, and therefore checked which applications would provide an easy, secure and reliable way to convert Amazon Music Playlists to high quality formats like FLAC. Surprisingly, there are many such apps available. At first, I kinda overlooked the FreeGrabApp FreeAmazonMusicDownload from https://freegrabapp.com/ , as the UI was pretty simple, didn’t show any graphics and was nothing “shiny”. After I tried the other ones though, I soon noticed that they had disadvantages: you need to start within that app the browser to enter your data (might be grabbed for nefarious purposes), or the handling was too complicated for my liking, or the fees where awfully high. So – I went back to this FreeAmazonMusicDownload app again. After I checked that one out, I was wondering why I didn’t do so earlier!? When you give it a try, you soon realize that the simplizity is what you actually want. You start your browser, go to your Amazon Music, click on a playlist, an album or a song, and you see the link to it in the Browser. You copy it, drop it into the app, and – that’s it! In the screenshot, you see the 3 simple steps: you copy that link, you click “Paste” in the app, and you click “Download”. After a while, you then have your music in the selected folder. You can select the output folder ,the quality of the music ( Minimum size, Default, High quality), and under “Save as” you can then detail the MP3 quality (160/190/230/320 kbps) or say “Original audio (no conversion) which would be the choice for e.g. FLAC. Meanwhile, I love the simplicity of the tool and the ability to convert my music in a fast and convenient way. Why do I give only 4 stars then you ask? Well – I would like to have even more choices for the settings, and I would like to be able to set criteria for sorting the music, so that MP3 tags are more flexible. All in all though is this tool now my tool of choice for converting Amazon Music – give it a try as well! If you like it – they even have a fair price of 14.99 per YEAR instead of per month.
