I ordered Gingerbug from Freshlyfermented from our retirement home on Madeira. My order arrived by standard post in a little over a week in a well packed mini box. The use by date had several weeks on it before it went out of date. I set about starting up the plant for the first time. I needed to ask a question about the feeding procedure and popped off an email. My query was answered almost immediately. I kept and fed the plant in my seed propogater for the entire process. When it came to producing my first batch of ginger beer after bottling in 500ml plastic water bottles I also used my propogater to maintain a constant temperature for just over a week. I released the pressure in the bottles every day. I placed the bottles in the fridge and left them for ten days. Yesterday afternoon we opened the first bottle and tasted what must be the best ginger beer ever! I will be taking a serious look at Freshlyfermenteds other products.
