I was glad to be able to buy a kit for making water kefir as a complete novice, and mostly it was a really good purchase. The kit contained all the equipment and ingredients I needed, but it was let down a bit by the instructions which were a bit higgledy piggledy and hard to follow. So I missed that I was supposed to refridgerate my grains (would have been helpful to have it printed on the packet), and I missed the instructions for activating them and skipped straight to making my first batch. No idea whether it will work now but fingers crossed. Overall I'd recommend buying the kit to friends, but also really advise reading some other websites to get clearer step by step instructions.
